It was a gorgeous spring day in late Feb. 2016 and we went out for the first bike ride of the season to our nearby park. Little one is fearless and really just goes for it. She took on every hill head on and when she couldn't pedal up she just pushed her bike up the hill, never asking me for help. Meanwhile the older one was behind me and I all I could do was holler at Eva too slow down while yelling at the other one to hurry up. I watched this little girl go go go, and all I could think was that I hope she stays this way. Determined and unafraid and secure that we will be there to support her. It really was the strangest thing watching this unfold in front of me. All from a simple bike ride in the woods. We got to the top and the first thing she said was "Mom I just crushed it! I kept thinking was I'm almost home I'm almost home."
How did I know that my husband was the one for me? I sometimes have a hard time explaining this, but for me it cam down to having a sense that I was going to be alright in my life. Being with Chris gave me confidence. I cam across this quote that sums up how I knew he was the one for me. “Someday you’ll find the right person, and you’ll learn to have a lot more confidence in yourself. That’s what I think. So don’t settle for anything less. In this world, there are things you can only do alone, and things you can only do with somebody else. It’s important to combine the two in just the right amount.” - Haruki Murakami
